My old Lacie Rugged 120GB external bit the dust (in a very peculiar way). So, I've upped myself with a new Western Digital MyBook 500GB. And by 500GB, they mean 465GB. I'll be writing them a pretty blistering letter for that one.

Also, my 1/8 inch RTS male to male cable arrived, so now I can rip songs of iPods and other mp3 players without connecting them to my computer. Very useful for when a friend has a song I want, but it's DRM'd or other such nonsense. (Contact me if you want to do the same, and I'll walk you through it.)

Only problem is, while the cable itself supports stereo, the ports on my FireWire 410 interface are all mono. For audiophile such as myself, mono recordings are unacceptable. So, to get a full stereo recording, I'll need to purchase a splitter, two more 1/8 inch RTS cables, and another 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch RTS translator. Knowing me, I'll get five.

I've also started development on another client's website. Due to business reasons, I can't reveal their identity, but I can tell you it's a small site (one/two pages) and will probably net me a mere $75. (Mental note; time to raise prices.) Unless, of course, they opt for IE6 support, in which case I get to charge them an extra $25.

What's that on horizon? I do believe it's the St. Louis Pirate Festival! I'll post pics of my costume once it's completed. Oh wait, this is the Interwab, where I dare not post such personal things. Pictures on request to trusted individuals, then.
